Central Bedfordshire Council has launched a free summer activities booklet, full of fun activities for parents and young children!
Date Added: 25/07/2022
The booklet contains over 30 fun ideas that can be done with little or no resources, or things that might already be around the house. The activities are also designed to help young children develop skills such as hand eye co-ordination and counting and help them learn new words and develop an awareness of nature.
The activity booklets are free and are available to collect from Central Bedfordshire’s Children’s Centres. They have been designed so parents and children can tick off each activity once they have completed it. Some of the activities include:
• Planting a sunflower seed to help children understand nature, the life cycle of a plant and how to measure
• Making rainbow fruit ice lollies to help children understand melting and freezing
• Going on a summer flower hunt to spot buttercups and daisies, helping children to learn new words and develop their observational skills
Please do visit your local Children’s Centre to pick up a copy and enjoy working your way through the activities.
Central Bedfordshire has Children’s Centres in Sandy, Shefford, Stotfold, Flitwick, Leighton Buzzard, Houghton Regis and Dunstable. Contact details are available by copying and pasting this link into your browser: https://cbc.cloud.servelec-synergy.com/synergyfis/Childrenscentres.aspx
