Sandy Town Council is seeking a self-starter to take on the role of Community Engagement Officer
Sandy Town Council is looking to recruit a dynamic self-starter as its Community Engagement Officer to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday to provide Community Engagement through PR and all media channels, Event Co-ordination and Administrative support to the Town Clerk and Town Council.
Knowledge of working in an office environment, excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills are essential as is experience of working in a customer facing role. All candidates must also be fully conversant working with all Microsoft packages.
This is a varied and interesting role with some focus being given to dealing with day-to-day telephone and face to face enquiries in a receptionist capacity. The role also includes administrative support and involvement in Council events and community engagement. A background in Local Government would also be an advantage, but more importantly is the ability to be flexible, use initiative and have a keen eye for detail.
37 hours per week with occasional weekend or evening work.
